2002 was a huge year for HEAVEN SCENT-2 single releases, their debut album & countless live shows!

In Mardi 2002 "Anything for You", produced by ARIA award winning producer Lindsay Gravina, was quickly snapped up prior to its release by NOVA 100 FM in Melbourne and was featured in HEAVEN SCENTs stint as NOVA 100 FM's "Made in Melbourne" artist "Anything for You" was also played on Triple M Brisbane, l4Rock Geelong & numerous other community radio stations. A video dip was shot to accompany the release of the single was played on Rage (ABC TV).

Distributed by Sound Vault Records, the "Anything for You" CD single (which sold out) was quickly snapped up ! y fans who could rel to the honesty of the HEAVEN SCENT sound The band knew that it was now the time to finally put together a full length albur tb further showcase the sound they had been refining for some time.

The result "Long Story Short", HEAVEN SCENTs debut album, released in late 2002 comprising of 12 tracks including the singles "Anything for You" & "Short Goodbyes".

The "Short Goodbyes" single was released following the Bali Bombings, with all proceeds going to victims of the tragedy. The song, about dealing with the sudden and senseless loss of loved ones, was performed at an album launch when it struck a poignant chord with an audience still coming to Blips with the recent tragedy. The track was supported by NOVA 100 FM and received a large amount of press here in Australia

HEAVEN SCENT are lookingforward to a big 2003 with many exciting plans in the pipeline.

Not only have they played a phenomenal amount of live gigs, supporting the likes of Billy Thorpe, Jimmy Barnes, Vanessa Amorosi and Invertigo in the process (and also headlining their own gigs & many guest spots at festivals) but they found time to record & release their 2nd single "Anything for You" in March 2002.

"Anything for You", produced by ARIA award winning producer Lindsay Gravina, was picked up prior to its release by NOVA 100 FM in Melbourne and was featured in HEAVEN SCENT's stint as NOVA 100 FM's "Made in Melbourne" artist. "Anything for You" was also played on Triple M Brisbane, K-Rock Geelong & numerous other community radio stations around Australia. A video clip was shot to accompany the release of the single was played on Rage (ABC TV).

The guys knew that it was now the time to finally put together a full length album to further showcase the songs they had been refining for some time.

The result: "Long Story Short", HEAVEN SCENT's debut album, distributed by Sound Vault Records on September 23rd, 2002. The band launched the album with some killer shows at the Evelyn Hotel and the Brass Monkey. HEAVEN SCENT also played and blew away over 6000 people at an outdoor concert at Albury with Jimmy Barnes and The Androids.

HEAVEN SCENT are in the process of writing some new songs to be road tested over the coming months with the band's newest addition, guitarist Paul Edwards, following the departure of long serving guitarist, Zoli Juhasz.
