The band is available for hire throughout the year and can perform to a variety of requirements. It is most important that at least three months notice of a performance date is given when booking the band. This is not only to ensure adequate rehearsal time but to allow for delivery of any required sheet music, much of which comes from overseas. In short, the earlier we know about an engagement, the better we can meet the needs of the engaging organisation.

The band is available for for peformances at Festivals, Fetes, Product launches, sporting events, ceremonial occassions, openings of buildings - in fact Armadale City Concert Band is available for any type of performance. Peak times for the band are in March/April (Minnawarra Festival, ANZAC Day), June/July (Mid-year concert) and November/December (End-of-year concert, Christmas performances). When preparing for a performance, the band requires the following information:
  • contact details of appropriate event representative
  • a fairly detailed programme showing details of ACCB involvement, including appropriate times/locations for setup and dismantling, and equipment storage, etc.
  • an official release regarding the event which can be used in the band's quarterly publication, "ACCB News" (click here for deadlines) details of type of music required. The band has an extensive library, but where a performance requires specific music not in our library, that music is at additional cost to the hiring organisation. Music can also be specifically arranged for a perfomance. Where music needs to be purchased or arranged a minimum twelve weeks notice is essential.
  • amplification and lighting requirements (especially whether these are to be provided by the band as an additional fee, or by the event organiser) (The band can provide basic lighting and sound reinforcement)
  • staging, sun protection (if daytime outdoors), wind protection.
