Since the release of her debut 5 track CD The Reins ep in January 2001, Emaline Delapaix has gone from strength to strength receiving rave reviews from critics and music lovers alike. This 24 year old self taught singer/songwriter/musician has achieved more in the past 6 months than some performers do in years. With over 45 live performances under her belt for this year alone including a self funded, independent tour of North America and spots at the Victor Harbour (SA) & Tablelands Folk Festival (QLD) in the coming months, she has a lot to be smiling about. Along with performing Emaline also finds time to run a womens music series called Venus Rising several times a year to promote new and existing female performers covering all genres and styles.
Emaline's music can be best described as lush, melodic folk/pop drawing on many influences from Tori Amos, Ani Difranco, Kate Bush, Bjork, Billy Bragg, Neil Finn and more incorporating guitar, piano, strings and vocal harmonies.
In 2001 Emaline has shared the stage with such well known and respected performers as Max Sharam, Wendy Rule, Rebecca Barnard, The Bluehouse, Penelope Swales, Monique Brumby as well as overseas performers Ember Swift, Tania Elizabeth, Little Feat and Jonatha Brooke. She has performed at numerous venues and festivals including The Continental, The Evelyn, Dan O Connell, Revolver, Mt Beauty Music Muster, Boite World Music Café, Esplanade Hotel, Knitting Factory (NY), New York Rhythm & Blues Festival, Women s Voices Festival (CAN), Ottawa Pride Closing Ceremony (CAN) & more.

With the help of her all female co-conspirators, she has spent the last two years delighting and amusing audiences in Canada, USA, Europe and Australia. Emaline's band "The Sweet Time Girls" consists of four young creative and vibrant female musicians incorporating piano, cello, guitar, bass, accordion, percussion, drums, and vocal harmonies. Ambika, Alicia, Emily & Cat each add their own distinct personalities to Emaline's diverse and original music with much laughter, passion and fun onstage antics.

Emaline & The Sweet Time Girls performances are fun, honest and captivating and incorporate anything from lilting lullabies to funky folk, jazz roots, melodic blues, rockabilly, bluegrass, lazy cabaret and lush eclectic pop/rock from an Australian perspective, as well as a handful of foreign and traditional songs.
