the fortyfives are a classy acoustic duo featuring two of Melbourne's most accomplished musicians. the fortyfives possess an excellent ability to improvise with voice & guitar. This ability underpins their diverse repertoire, which features cleverly reworked acoustic renditions of many classic pop, rock & smooth jazz songs from the 50’s & 60’s - to the classic synth-pop, disco & dance megahits of the 70’s & 80’s all without the aid of backing tracks. the fortyfives are ideal in a number of different settings from intimate cocktail bars to corporate events & more formal occasions - offering patrons the opportunity to hear their favourite tunes in an intimate setting arranged and performed in a unique & exiting way.

Joe Canni - Lead Vocals - Acoustic Guitar
Joe has worked with some of Australia’s most well known rock performers including Darryl Cotton (Zoot) Keith Lamb & Airport, John St Peters, and many more.
Anthony Maisano - Lead Vocals – Guitars
Emerging from the funk & jazz-rock scene in the early 1980’s Anthony has since established a reputation for his masterful guitar work & vocals in a number of well known Melbourne Bands such as The Motors, Be Kind to Schoolgirls, Brotherhood as well as Duos & Trios such as The Ins & Outs, Dont Frett, Innuendo &semi regular guest appearances with The Flying Zucchini Brothers & the Kasbah Kids.
With so many years of performing experience between them these two talented musicians have reinvented themselves to effortlessly combine crisp Vocal Harmonies, outstanding musicianship and exciting performances to provide a fantastic night’s entertainment for any small to medium sized venue whatever the occasion.
