By accessing or using the Entertain Oz website at www.entertainoz.com.au ('Site'), registering as a member, submitting an inquiry, or making or accepting a booking through the Site, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as set out in this Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, please cease using the Site immediately. We recommend you read this policy carefully and check it periodically, as we may update it from time to time.

2. Who This Policy Applies To

This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Site, including:

Customers: individuals and organisations using the Site to book entertainment services; and
Artist / Service Provider: artists, bands, acts, and other entertainment providers listed on the Site.

In this policy, 'you' and 'your' refer to any person whose personal information we collect, use, or disclose. 'Personal information' has the same meaning as in the Privacy Act — broadly, information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable.

3. What Personal Information We Collect

We collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for the provision of our booking services. The types of personal information we may collect include:

From all users:

Full name
Email address
Phone number
Postal or business address
Date of birth (for age verification purposes)
Account login credentials (username and password)
Communications sent through the Site or directly to us

Additionally, from Artist / Service Provider:

Australian Business Number (ABN)
Bank account details (for payment disbursement purposes)
Professional biography, performance history, and profile content
Photos, audio, and video material uploaded to the Site

Additionally, from Customers:

Payment card details (processed securely through our payment gateway; card details are not retained by Entertain Oz)
Event details including date, venue, and nature of the event

We will not generally collect sensitive information — such as information about your race, ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, health, or disability — as such information is not necessary for our services. If we are ever required to collect sensitive information, we will do so only with your express consent and in accordance with the APPs.

4. How We Collect Your Personal Information

We collect personal information in the following ways:

Directly from you when you register an account, create a profile, submit a booking inquiry, accept a booking, or contact us;
Through your use of and interaction with the Site, including via cookies and other tracking technologies (see clause 9);
From third parties, such as payment processors, where necessary to complete a transaction; and
From publicly available sources, where relevant and permitted by law.

Where it is reasonably practicable to do so, we will collect personal information directly from you. If you provide us with personal information about a third party, you represent that you have that person's consent to do so.

5. How We Use Your Personal Information

We use personal information only for purposes that are reasonably necessary for our services or that you have consented to. These purposes include:

Creating and managing your account and profile on the Site;
Facilitating booking inquiries, quotes, confirmed bookings, and payment transactions;
Sending booking confirmations, invoices, receipts, and other transactional communications;
Communicating with you to respond to questions, concerns, or problems;
Processing and disbursing payments to Artist / Service Provider;
Monitoring, maintaining, and improving the Site and our services;
Tracking usage and traffic patterns on the Site to improve user experience;
Sending our email newsletter and other marketing communications (where you have consented or where permitted by law); and
Complying with our legal obligations.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

6. Disclosure of Your Personal Information

We may disclose your personal information to third parties in the following circumstances:

Payment processors: We share necessary financial information with our payment gateway provider to process transactions securely. This provider is bound by strict contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
Other users: When a booking is confirmed, Entertain Oz will provide the Customer's and Artist/Service Provider's contact details to each other for the express purpose of facilitating that booking.
Service providers: We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Site (such as hosting, analytics, and email services), subject to confidentiality obligations.
Legal and regulatory: We may disclose your information where required by law, court order, or regulatory authority, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or the rights of others.
Business transfers: If Entertain Oz is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your personal information may be transferred to the relevant third party, provided they agree to comply with a privacy policy at least as protective as this one.

We do not otherwise disclose your personal information to third parties without your consent.

7. Transfer of Personal Information Outside Australia

Your personal information is stored on servers located in Australia or maintained by third-party providers who are subject to strict contractual privacy and security obligations. We do not otherwise transfer your personal information outside of Australia, except where a copy is sent to you at your own request.

Where we do transfer personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles your information in a manner consistent with the APPs.

Entertain Oz is committed to keeping your personal information secure. We take all reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. Our security measures include:

Restricted access to personal information on a need-to-know basis;
Use of industry-standard encryption technology for all payment transactions; and
Regular review of our security practices.

While we take all reasonable precautions, no method of data transmission or storage over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your personal information.

You may opt out of receiving marketing communications at any time by:

Clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email you receive from us; or
Contacting us at info@entertainoz.com.au with your request to unsubscribe.

Please note that even if you opt out of marketing communications, we may still send you transactional messages relating to your bookings, account, or legal obligations.

12. Links to External Websites

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected through our Site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external websites and encourage you to read the privacy policies of any site you visit when you leave our Site.

13. Children's Privacy

The Site is not intended for use by persons under the age of 18 years. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
