A Lady & Her Tramps

The 'Lady' of A Lady & Her Tramps, is one Helen Catanchin, a richly expressive and gifted jazz singer with ten years performing and recording experience. With a warm and velvety tone, Helen's voice invites listeners to share in the story of each and every song.  Performing regularly around Melbourne in various groups and venues, Helen also leads three other bands, and has featured as lead singer of her jazz group at premier festivals and venues the likes of Melbourne Women's International Jazz Festival, Melbourne Music Week, Wangaratta Jazz Festival, Eltham Town Jazz & Blues Festival, Bennetts Lane and Paris Cat Jazz Club. 

Helen's “Tramps” are some of the most renowned and sought after instrumentalists on the Melbourne jazz scene, and are available in a range of formats, from duo to quintet. Performing styles from Trad and Swing to Bossa Nova, and including songs in Portuguese, Spanish and French as well as select covers, A Lady & Her Tramps cater to the unique requirements of each event with ease and style.  Whether it be a gentle accompaniment to dinner, an intimate ballad to move your wedding guests, or a swinging dance set, a Lady & Her Tramps performance will add the perfect touch of elegance and sophistication to your function.
