It has been well over 25 years since Sally Williams first appeared on our TV screens. Dubbed the Brand Power Lady, the trusted voice has promoted everything from muesli bars to washing detergent. Her engaging and considered approach has been the secret of commercial success for both the series and the brands it promoted.
In recent years Sally has made a significant career step-change when The Brand Power lady made the transition into “Sustainable Sally”.
“At the time my decision surprised everyone, but it was one of those moments that just felt incredibly right. During the many years that I presented brands and products to the public I was often asked,
Sally, do you really like the things you advertise?
Do you actually use these particular products at home?
Or, do we really need another washing liquid, breakfast cereal or cleaning aid?"
It was questions like these that got me thinking that instead of more of the same, we should and need to be introducing more environmentally friendly competitors & solutions to our audience.
It’s these kinds of products, services and initiatives and only these that I now put all my efforts into promoting as environmentally friendly solutions to Australian consumers.
Moving toward a more sustainable lifestyle is for most of us about changing the habits of a lifetime. Working within the circular economy is as much a mindset as it is an objective and, like any major transformation exercise, it requires stakeholders at every level of an organisation to be part of the vision and work towards its implementation.”
Sally Williams now works with a broad range of clients in the sustainable sector both in the B2B and B2C from the recycling industry, FMCG packaging & products, waste management, renewables, to name a few as a Sustainable Brand Ambassador, Presenter, MC, Facilitator and Change Maker.
