Based in Brisbane, Ngā Manu Pūtohe is a passionate and dynamic kapa haka group dedicated to sharing the rich heritage of Māori performing arts. Our name, meaning “The Eloquent Birds,” reflects our mission to voice the beauty, power, and pride of te ao Māori (the Māori world) through performance.
Our rōpū (group) is made up of skilled and experienced performers who deliver authentic kapa haka experiences, including haka, waiata (song), poi, and mōteatea (traditional chant and storytelling). Each performance is a heartfelt expression of whakapapa (ancestry), wairua (spirit), and mana Māori motuhake (Māori cultural identity and pride).
