Eliza is a professional harpist with over a decade’s experience providing live music for private, public and corporate events.
Eliza started playing the harp after receiving a music scholarship at Churchlands Senior High School. She went on to study a Bachelor of Arts, completing a double-degree in music where she was the recipient of a number of prizes and scholarships including the Delanor Music Scholarship, the Ewen Prize in Music and the Wesley Music Scholarship.
Notable performances include a world premiere of Sean Tinnion’s work Remembrance with the Perth Symphony Orchestra in 2016; an Australian premiere of Rutter’s Visions with the Lux Aeterna choir in 2019; a performance of Britten’s Ceremony of Carols in 2021 and Rutter’s Dancing Day in 2022 with the Perth Symphonic Chorus. Eliza is a regular FRINGE festival artist having performed a season in 2018 and another in 2021.
Eliza has also recorded two albums. The first, Works for Harp and Guitar, was released in 2018 and features compositions for harp and guitar by contemporary composers such as Maximo Diego Pujol, Gary Schocker and Erik Marchelie. The second album, Girl in the Mirror, came out in 2020 and features 12 original songs.
When not performing, Eliza can be found running her music tutoring business Elda Music Studios through which she teaches over twenty students on a regular basis.
