Helping Hand Group Australia

The Helping Hand Group primarily provides memorabilia and auction services to charities, community groups, schools and sporting clubs for fundraising purposes. HHG specialise in silent auctions (we were the first in Australia to raise funds from memorabilia using silent auctions), we go out to the dinners, luncheons, golf days, gala balls, presentation nights, etc organized by various individual bodies and set up, staff and run a silent auction.

All items that we provide are provided at cost price with all the profits from the auctions going to the charity, community group etc. We do not take any commissions or any other charges for our services. We also provide memorabilia for main auctions with the same concepts.

Through our other business, South Sydney Framing, we provide framing of items for the charities at cost price and deliver them to the venues for free. When required, we also provide staff experienced at fundraising, to work at charity fundraising events completely free of charge, we try to generate as much money for the charities as possible. HHG also retails and wholesales products to the general community.

The first function (assistance) we ever did was for South Sydney District Cricket Club in July 1997. Since that first function we have conducted approximately 500 functions all over Australia (every state and territory except NT) for all different kinds of organisations. From the Red Cross of Australia Gala Balls to little primary school fetes. We have helped out almost every major charity in some way or another. HHG has approximately raised $5,500,000 through its services. In 1999, Richard Ernster one of the founders of HHG was recognized for his work with HHG by SOCOG and invited to run the Olympic relay of the Torch in Sydney 2000.

Many charities have also benefited from HHG in a slightly different way. HHG is involved with many corporate and entertainment functions. At these functions that we are involved with, we conduct fundraising through raffles and auctions and provide the proceeds to various charities we choose around the time of the event. These functions include events/shows that are conducted with celebrities such as Kostya Tszyu and Anthony Mundine.
