Darren Pfeiffer - Carlton Football Club

Darren is a medium forward/defender who played six games of league football with Norwood in the SANFL in 2006.

He is a very good ball winner showing great courage and is a strong mark, which saw him winning All-Australian U18 honours in 2004 as a junior.

His standing vertical jump of 72cm was ranked No 1 at the NAB AFL Draft Camp which indicates his power and agility.

Darren was drafted by Carlton in the 1st round of the 2008 NAB AFL Pre-Season Draft, number 2 overall after originally being drafted by Adelaide in 2005.

Darren suffered numerous injury setbacks with the Crows before being traded to Carlton, where it is now hoped that his body has matured and is up to the rigours of AFL football. The Blues are confident Darren can make a immediate impact on their season.

Darren's 2008 season started well where he managed numerous opportunities in the senior line up, featuring mainly up forward where he imposed himself on the game and showed natural flair similar to that displayed against the Fremantle Dockers in Round 9 where he slotted a terrific goal from the boundary and put himself in contention for goal of the week.

There is so much to like of this untapped resource, which the Blues are hoping to expose.

Darren is based in Melbourne and is available for appearances and Q&A.
