Renae Berry has trained in all facets of the entertainment industry. Her professional career began with several overseas contracts before making her theatrical debut in the title role of Cinderella, which toured New Zealand.
In 1998, Renae made her musical theatre debut in the Australian tour of Chicago, in the role of Annie. In 1999, she received critical acclaim when she took over the lead role of Roxie Hart in the Hong Kong season of the production. Renae appeared alongside Kylie Minogue in the Sydney 2000 Olympics Closing Ceremony and The Sydney 2000 Paralympics Opening Ceremony. She was also a featured soloist in Caroline O’Connor’s Stage to Screen concert series which was televised on the ABC.
After a national tour playing Frenchy in Grease – The Mega Musical, Renae starred as Candy in the hit Musical Oh What a Night! She also appeared in the Sydney season of Footloose at The Capital Theatre in the role of Wendy Jo, as well as understudying and performing the lead role of Ariel.
Renae starred in the Sydney season of Get Happy playing the lead role of Natalie Hart at Star City in Sydney and followed straight on to appear in Leader of the Pack at the same venue.
Renae is about to become one of Australia’s leading ladies of musical theatre with the Asian and national tour of Saturday Night Fever in which she will take on the lead female role of Stephanie this year.
