As an offshoot of Jaynii Streetwise www.jaynii.com JayNii is an irresistible live performing African music and vibrant dance group that leaves you with memories and imaginations ( jayniigroup.wix.com/jaynii ) Phenomenal JayNii Band produces creative and intrinsic jaw-dropping performances with a blend of African traditional and Western instruments. Jaynii entertains and mesmerize its audience with Afropop, Afrobeat, African Jazz and traditional rhythms coupled with creative contemporary/street and traditional energetic dances in colourful African fabrics internationally and on the African continent. The group also run intimate hands-on workshops locally and internationally in Sweden, UK and France to name a few. Jaynii Band and Troupe entertain and mesmerize its audience with Afropop, Afrobeat, African Jazz and traditional rhythms, street/contemporary creative, energetic traditional dances, brass/roving band,acrobatics and also run intimate hands-on workshops. The group organizes the annual Int’l Jaynii Cultural Festival which parades performers from all around the globe.
The JayNii Group performs and use the proceeds to support the JayNii Streetwise Foundation (www.jaynii.com) a grassroots charity born in 2007 with the aim of providing needy youngsters in deprived Jamestown, Accra, Ghana with education and opportunity. So far these needy children, most orphans or single-parent children, have been enrolled in the Streetwise Project and provided with access to primary and secondary education, shelter, food, cloth, medication and entertainment.
