Band Style

Cool Coda is primarily a Classic Rock band but we play a variety of musical styles from Eagles to Angels to Beatles to AC/DC with great authenticity. With a 5 piece line up, the band can deliver a full sound with a high quality mix.  We can also perform our "Songs of Oz" show which is 4 hours of pure Australian Rock. 

Band Line Up

Our lineup is:

Brad:  Lead Vocals

Alan:  Lead Guitar Backup Vocals

Matt:  Sax, Guitar, Keys and Vocals

Saul:  Bass and Vocals

Steve:  Drums and Backup Vocals

Band members are all very experienced musicians with all professional gear including lights 

Versatility

Cool Coda has 3 main singers ensuring variety in sound and style throughout our performance.  Brad with his "James Reyne" style voice leads most songs, but for variety Matt with his deeper tone and Saul also lead the singing on many songs.  Saul delivers solid bass with a punchy style and Alan leads the guitar work with a rock and bluesy feel. Matt adds further versatlity with Sax and keys.   The result is a band that can play a wide variety of music styles and can perform covers with very authentic and exciting sound.  

Professional Musicians

The band has a stable line up which has played together for several years.  Each of the band members have played for many years and have industry standard professional quality equipment.  

Song List

We have a full and varied set-list and can play a variety of music styles including Rock, Blues, Country and Pop.  We specialise in faithfully reproducing a range of Aussie pub rock from the seventies, eighties and nineties but also play hits from all over the world from the 60's to now.

Tailored Performances

We can tailor our show to suit your preferences and  the venue.  We typically play a 3 or 4 hour performance but longer or shorter performances can be arranged.  You can pick the songs from our song list or we can suggest a set list for your event. We can often play songs at your request that are not listed on the song list.

Professional Mixer

If required (usually for larger events) we can provide a dedicated professional producer to provide an even higher quality of sound mix.

Equipment

We provide all equipment for our shows including a comprehensive high quality PA system and lighting.  We can also supply a gazebo cover for outdooor events.   

Performance History

We have played at many public venues includinh: The Manly Hotel;  Prince of Wales Hotel; QLD National Hotel (Laidley); St Brendans's Leagues Club; Shamrock Hotel (Toowoomba); Greenslopes Bowls Club; Goodna Jacaranda Festival; Bramble Bay Bowls Club; United Sports Club (Ipswich); Blue Pacific Hotel (Bribie); Gunalda Hotel; Australian Hotel (Ballina); Brisbane Valley Tavern; Ferny Grove Tavern; Esk Grand Hotel; and, Weerona Hotel. 

We regularly play for private parties and functions.

The band is fully insured for Public Liability.
