GIRAFFE The Band

Formed in 2023 and based on the NSW Central Coast, GIRAFFE The Band brings together four experienced musicians, each with decades of live music performance behind them.
With a repertoire spanning multiple decades and a willingness to put their own distinctive spin on familiar songs, GIRAFFE delivers something a little different from the typical cover band.
Music with a Stylish Twist
GIRAFFE's repertoire features well-known songs, but often not the versions you expect.
The band might take an upbeat rock song and transform it into a blues ballad, or give a West Coast rock favourite a bossa nova treatment. On other songs, they believe the original arrangement is simply the best way to go.
This creates a varied and unpredictable live show that moves comfortably between rock, blues, pop, soul and classic favourites.
Their repertoire works equally well for relaxed listening or getting guests onto the dance floor. A set might begin with some cooler numbers before gradually building the energy and having the crowd up and dancing.
Live Performance
GIRAFFE generally performs up to three sets of approximately 50 minutes, spread over around 3½ hours.
The band is suited to both public venues and private functions and can perform for a broad range of audiences.
They are particularly conscious of sound levels. Their electronic drum kit allows the band to maintain a balanced and controlled sound, making GIRAFFE suitable for smaller spaces as well as larger functions.

Together they create a versatile live sound capable of moving from laid-back listening music to energetic party entertainment.
Sound & Production
GIRAFFE brings its own road crew member, lighting and audio system, including a 2,000-watt front-of-house sound system capable of comfortably providing sound for functions of up to approximately 250 people.
The band takes care of its own production requirements, helping provide a professional and consistent live performance experience.

The band is also willing to travel further afield for suitable bookings.
