What sets Hitparade apart from the competition is their sheer enjoyment and commitment to delivering music that the audience knows and enjoys. 20 Years would suggest that they know how to do that and that they obviously love what they do.

Along with high quality professional backing sequences, Hitparade is a sophisticated 4 piece featuring live guitar instrumentation, male and female lead vocals, and further backing vocals to give the band the strong, rich four part harmony sound that feature on most of their songs. Only a minimal amount of space is required for set-up, making it the perfect format for almost any event.

With a small sound system and minimal amount of equipment, the set-up process is quick, clean and very professional. The overall volume is controllable to your liking, for small rooms, Hitparade can play quieter than larger bands, whilst still having the ability to fill a larger room with sound if necessary. Denis Bio

After wetting his feet in high school rock bands and winning local "Battle of the Bands" competitions, Dennis was offered a dream gig and dived into a truly professional and full-time touring funk/dance band, "Geneva". At the impressionable age of 18, and in the hands of experienced agents, Dennis quickly learned the importance of connecting with his audience, and as a consequence, mastered the ability  to  read  a  crowd  and  get them all on their feet. From Melbourne to Cairns,  his personality  and  powerful voice has entertained and enthralled many audiences and won him many fans both in the public and music industry.

The natural progression for any serious performer and music lover is towards original music and this is where Dennis found his true musical love, "Exhibit A" his first original band. While performing, writing, recording and touring with this band, Dennis's career steadily gained momentum Australia wide and internationally, culminating with a distribution deal at Warner Bros/Sire in the United States of America for their album "Stepping Stone".

True to his love of music, Dennis furthered his career and opportunities into the arena of musical theatre.  He played the character of "Sonny" in a 1996 production of "Grease", went on to play "Jean Val jean" in the 2001 production of "Les Miserables", With only three weeks to go till the opening of the 2001 Australian Premier of "Jekyll & Hyde" the musical starring Donald Cant, Dennis virtually lived on no sleep, rehearsed, performed and brought himself to a new level of satisfied achievement. His most recent theatre performance was of the student leader "Enjolras" in the 2002 Canberra Philharmonic production of "Les Miserables".

Still eager to learn and grow as a musician studying with renowned teachers such  as  Classical,  Opera  vocal coach Pat Davies, he continues his studies with contemporary styles vocal coach Elaine Winter (Estille trained). Employing both vocal techniques with Hit Parade, It is with this outfit he can explore his full potential as a singer.

Dennis has opened for some of Australia's most well known artist's such as Jimmy Barnes, Divinyls, Screaming Jets, Mental As Anything, Jenny Morris, Ian Moss, Swanee, national and international artists such as Roachford.

Dennis clearly thrives from his passion and this is instantly perceived while watching him perform.

Trudy Bio

It is rare that one finds a singer that stops you in your tracks and demands your complete attention. Trudy Meehan is one of these singers. She combines elegance with power, and with her breathy and sultry voice, is a performer that you will never forget and will want to employ and hear over and over again.

An artist of this quality does not happen overnight or by accident, it is the result of many years hard work and commitment. Since the age of four she has been invited to perform at public functions, concerts and Weddings and has studied with the Australian College of Music at a very high level. Trudy began competing in eisteddfods and other state competitions throughout Queensland at the age of seven. Of these, Trudy, with the help of her sister, went on to win 1st place in the Queensland Eisteddfod, but is most proud of her victories at South Burnett winning "The Madeline McKinnon Memorial" Trophy in 1991 and 1992. 1993 was an even bigger year for Trudy as she stepped onto the stage for her first performance in a professionally produced theatre production, "The Pyjama Game". Later that year, she performed live to air on TV for Bert Newton's New Faces to the acclaim of the judges. At this point, it was already quite an impressive career for an 18 year old.
With a passion for musical theatre, Trudy has furthered her career by maintaining a high level of professionalism and since 1993 has performed countless roles in productions from "HMS Pinafore" to "Les Miserables". She is very proud of her affiliations and involvement with her Toowoomba connections - the Toowoomba Philharmonic Society and the Toowoomba Choral Society where she starred in several productions. A role that won her great acclaim in the Toowoomba region was that of "Velma Kelly" in the Empire Theatre's production of Chicago amongst performers, directors and producers of great renown such as Jim Vile, Helena Moore and Helen Russell.

Many people have enjoyed Trudy's professionalism and versatility since arriving in Canberra. She has made the transition from theatre to Pop and Rock music quite comfortably leading local bands such as Industrie, Groove Generator and of course, has also found a much appreciative audience performing with her natural style and grace with the renowned local band, Hit Parade.

Dani Bio

With a voice and musical sensibility that is way beyond her years, Dani brings something quite different to the table and perfectly complements the Hitparade team.

With a rich and warm timbre, Dani compliments the other singers and by bringing a modern and original feel to the group. She is a singer songwriter and thus brings a musical understanding that allows her to find interesting harmonies and musical ideas within the framework of a typical pop song.

Dani has devoted herself to becoming a  singer/songwriter and vocalist from a very young age and has taken a liking to the guitar in the past several years. Dani has always envisaged a future in music and cannot imagine a life otherwise. With her affinity to sound and expression, she has found herself in some very artistic environments, whether it is recording in a studio, performing to an audience, taking part in music-based charity fundraisers, studying and teaching music or writing songs in her home.

Matt Bio

Matt has been creating and playing music since he was a teenager and can play Guitar, Mandolin, Bass, Banjo, Keyboards and Drums. His passion for music is engrained within his DNA and he loves to play many styles of music varying  from Rock to Bluegrass.

In 2008 Matt decided to step up to the microphone and improve himself as a vocalist. He has been vocal coached by Jesse Nemitz and Christopher Keller at Brett Manning Studios in Nashville Tennessee.

When Matt is not gigging with Hit Parade he is writing and singing in his band Stormatic.

While playing in various bands Matt has opened shows for International and Australian artists such as Nickelback, INXS, Peter Frampton and The Screaming Jets.
