JAMES McNALLY

Australia has seen one of Australia’s leading voices in song on The X Factor, and now available through Entertain Oz

James McNally started performing when he was just 5 years old, singing in a commercial featuring John Laws about saving koalas. Today, koalas are still alive, John Laws is retired and James continues to sing. In his schooling years he performed as a soloist in various high profile performances including: The opening of the Sydney Aquatic Centre/Olympic Stadium Australia, The Atlanta Olympics Dinner, Sydney Olympics Celebrations, The Coca Cola Schools Spectacular (for 3 years), Sydney Kings Basketball to name a few. He also performed for the late Princess Diana, Former Head of United Nations Butros Butros Gali and toured with Magic Johnson/US women's basketball team.

As an adult he started writing and recording his own material as well as performing in Sydney institutions like 'The Basement' and 'Harbourside Brasserie' with some of Australia's finest musicians. He performed on New Years Eve Live for Network Ten in 2000. He has also lived and worked in New York recording various originals and writing for other artists. Although only fluent in Japanese, he has also performed in Spanish and French.

Upon moving to Melbourne, James started recording voice overs and advertisements for television as well as small acoustic sets showcasing his own material written over the years. He also undertook a new project doing live vocals over an electro DJ and has performed at various locations including Baroque House, Q Bar, One Six One, Revolver and music festival Defcon 2007 at Birrarung Marr.

James also performed with a four piece band that blend Soul, Rock, Funk and even some originals. An audience can never know what to expect be it a current smash or hidden forgotten classic, surprise is always on the menu. In 2010 he auditioned and made the Top 12 Finals of the X Factor on the 7 Network.
So whether it's stadium arenas, corporate events, funky bars or underground clubs, James McNally is a dynamic seasoned vocalist and performer with years of experience under his belt. And it is safe to say that the future of the Koala is looking very promising.
