Sweet Sister are an energetic five piece band based in Mandurah WA,
brought together because of a lack of live music in the area, music played the old way, by a full band with full sound.
Covering music from the “Angels, Pink, Hoodoo Gurus, Divinyls, Cold Chisel, Katie Perry, Lady Ga Ga, INXS, Gloria Gaynor and ELO” to name a few.
Having done a variety of work from playing amongst hay bales in a shed on a farm, somewhere near Coolup, countless weddings , parties, you know the drill, also Pub Gigs at the Ravenswood Hotel, Drakesbrook Tavern, Peel Alehouse, Mandurah Offshore Fishing Club, Peel Thunder, Cruising Yacht Club in Rockingham and Malaga Tavern.
Sweet Sister have also played for the University Of WA for a couple of fundraisers, followed by some work for the Falcon GT and the Mustang owners club of WA, CSBP Limited, Weschef and the WA Hot Rod Club.
Sweet Sister have received nothing but praise from their audiences, the dance floors are always full and the music is always pumping.
Band members are:
Cassandra Sweeny: charming, attractive versatile vocalist, Cass can sing anything from Adele to Tina Turner, strong voice with good harmonies.
Bruce Angus: Keyboards, a quality trained musician with a flare for Jazz and all things music.
Big Bad Robbie Forlani: on lead guitar and whatever other sound he can get out of his little “blue box”, always a crowd pleaser.
Brad Kendall: Drums/Percussion, with twenty years of experience in all types of music, a very solid performer, there’s not much he can’t do.
Frank Longo: Bass Guitar/Vocals, senior member with lots of experience, powerfull versatile performer with strong vocals and driving guitar sound.
All together these five musicians combine to form a tight solid unit, although only being together for just under twelve months, the band has earned the reputation for being one of the best “Cover” bands in the region, backed up with a good PA System, Sound Engineer, lighting, special effects and full black curtains, they are able to do most types of shows, both indoors and out.
