Gypsy Nights – Gypsy, Jazz, Continental & Light Classical Music
Accordion, fiddle and irresistible musical charm!
Meet Phil Carroll and Ernie Gruner of Gypsy Nights, a versatile Melbourne musical duo bringing together the infectious rhythms of Gypsy music, the sophistication of jazz, the romance of continental classics and the beauty of light classical music.
From the passion of Dark Eyes to the elegance of La Vie en Rose, the swinging rhythms of Ain't Misbehavin' and the dramatic melodies of Habanera, Gypsy Nights offers a delightful musical journey spanning styles, cultures and generations.
With accordion and fiddle at the heart of their sound, Phil and Ernie create an engaging atmosphere for audiences of all ages. They can perform acoustically while wandering among guests or use a PA system when amplification is required. They also welcome song requests, adding a personal touch to their performances.
Music That Brings Every Setting to Life
Gypsy Nights adapts to a wide range of venues and occasions, from intimate gatherings and sophisticated hotel functions to lively shopping centre promotions and special events.
Their roving style makes them particularly well suited to occasions where guests can enjoy live music up close. For shopping centres and themed events, Phil and Ernie can even dress in colourful, quirky costumes to create an entertaining visual spectacle alongside their music.
For functions that call for more rhythm and dancing, the duo can expand the lineup with additional bass and drums, creating a fuller sound for dance-oriented events.
