SOULTOWN: A TRIBUTE TO SOUL AND MOTOWN presents a dynamic and true reproduction of the classics of 60’s Soul music from the houses of Motown and Stax/Atlantic records. The band performs the classic songs of artists including Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, Martha and The Vandellas, The Temptations, and many others. This highly experienced and entertaining band is certain to get audiences headed for the dance floor. The music has a broad appeal from teenagers to those who first heard the songs in the 60’s when they were the soundtrack to their misspent youth.

SOULTOWN plays it all from dance floor fillers like Dancin’ in the Street, Rescue Me and Shake Your Tail-feather through slow burning lovers’ tracks like Let’s Get It On and I Never Loved a Man and flat out soul classics like Aretha’s definitive version of Respect and Stevie’s Signed Sealed Delivered. This 8-piece tribute band includes lead and backing vocalists, keyboards, guitar, bass, drums and a horn section. The musicians have extensive live performance backgrounds including with touring shows, other tribute shows, and in live theatre. They are professionally educated and trained musicians.
