We are a small group of 5 dancers from Indonesia. We do traditional and contemporary Indonesian dance.

The group established in 2021, with the mission to promote Indonesian culture by showcasing beautiful Indonesian dances and costumes and of course please the crowd 😀. We have been perform in community events, weddings, business events, age care and we also teach and dance together with children in library.

Our performance time vary from 6 minutes for 1 dance up to one hour for dances collaborates with Indonesian live musics and introduction to our cultures.

Our costumes are traditional from Indonesia. They are mostly colourfull 😀

Most of our dance tell a story, loke a princess who turn into a bird, the joy of farmers when harvest season arrive, competition between man and women and other interesting stories.

Below is words from each dancer

I enjoy being part of the group, because we learn together, helping and encouraging each other, so as the group grows our friendship grows as well.

Panca nova Kurniasih

My Passion for dancing started in my younger years in Indonesia, studying the art of dancing and performing with Dance Academy events, Now living in Western Australia, my passion has shifted to teaching and choreographing the Archipelago regional dance and providing entertainment products for events to please the crowd.

Adisty Kanastari

Performing dance and music for me, is about connection and expression. So being a part of Nusantarian fulfills my need to connect with like-minded people in creating the beauty of dance and a self-expression outlet.

Dinia Marinka

I love being part of Nusantarian as I form a special bond with the other dancers who enjoy dancing and showcasing Indonesian culture. Also, as a mother of two who works in the aged care industry, I don’t usually wear makeup in my daily activities, but each performance allows me to feel pretty with all the glam and elaborate costumes.

Yuridyah Mulyadi

Indonesian traditional dancing and music have always been my favourite things to do since I was little. I am grateful to meet like-minded people with the same passion in the Nusantarian Dance Group. Being part of Nusantarian, we canpromote Indonesian culture by showcasing beautiful dancesand costumes.
