Featuring Jen Hawley on vocals, ukulele and percussion and Terry Cole on vocals, mandolin and whistles, Tall Poppies deliver a wonderfully diverse repertoire of wandering-minstrel musical magic — with plenty of humour thrown in.
Their energetic performance combines upbeat jazz and Latin, gypsy fiddle tunes, Australian bush music, country classics and well-loved favourites, all presented with a distinctive circus twist.

Terry Cole
Terry Cole is an accomplished actor, director, musician and circus performer with extensive experience across theatre, music and circus.
A long-term member of Circus in a Suitcase and the Famous Fratellini Brothers, Terry is also an inspirational workshop leader and highly experienced multi-instrumentalist. His career has included performances at World Expo Brisbane, Australia Festival Istanbul, Fruit Fly 10th Anniversary Circus and Robertson's Circus.
Terry also conducts Artist in Residence programs and performs hundreds of shows each year, bringing exceptional versatility and experience to every Tall Poppies performance.
Jen Hawley
Jen Hawley is an accomplished guitarist, singer and composer who has performed with bands in Melbourne and Sydney for many years.
Classically trained in guitar, Jen studied jazz guitar with Bruce Clarke and has taught guitar privately and through workshops at music camps including Roses Gap and Turramurra Folk Music Camps.
Her musical interests span jazz, French, Brazilian, gypsy and folk music, giving Tall Poppies their wonderfully eclectic musical repertoire.
Jen has performed at major Australian festivals including Port Fairy Festival, St Kilda Festival, Frankston International Guitar Festival and Echuca Jazz Festivals, and regularly performs around Melbourne with her own jazz ensemble.
