1300Medics – a division of Brisbane based Health Care Options – provides medical support to a variety of events including sporting fixtures, fetes, conferences, parties and concerts in Queensland and northern New South Wales.

Our team of healthcare professionals provides a high quality pre-hospital emergency care and first aid services using the latest equipment and training. Just some of the events and organizations that we have worked with include:

  • Gladiators
  • Australia’s Got Talent
  • Rove Live
  • Good Vibrations Festival
  • V Fest
  • Brisbane Oktoberfest
  • Gold Coast Marathon
  • Sleeman Aquatic Centre
  • Queensland Sports and Athletics Centre
  • AFL Brisbane including Juniors
  • Brothers and Wynnum Rugby Union
  • John Edwards
  • Associated Independent Colleges
  • UQ Union

Our medics have the widest scope of practice of any Queensland first aid provider, and can perform a variety of skills including cardiac monitoring and advanced airway management. We also employ registered nurses and paramedics who can provide a variety of life-saving interventions.

Many state governments now recommend having an advanced life support trained professional on site for dance parties and major events. Event First Aid can provide doctors, as well as ALS-trained nurses and paramedics for your event.

When we develop an Event Medical Services proposal for your event, we utilise an evidence-based algorithm developed from state, national and international standards for Event Medical Services to determine appropriate staffing levels. The result is a medical service at your event which is compliant with a range of guidelines and standards including:

  • Emergency Management Australia – “Safe and Healthy Mass Gatherings”
  • Commonwealth Government – “Planning Safe Public Events” – Practical Guidelines; including additional requirements for sporting events and dance parties;
  • The UK Health and Safety Executive – “The Event Safety Guide”
  • State guidelines for Dance Parties in New South Wales and South Australia
