Sydnee Carter is latest star to hit the headlines as one of the final nine contestants in the sixth edition of the Channel 7 show, the X Factor. This 16 year old fiery star hails from Wanneroo in Western Australia. She tried her luck in the series 5 of the show also but unfortunately, couldn't make it at that time. However, she did not lose heart and started busking at the Fremantle markets on weekends. It not only improved her singing skills but also gave the much-needed confidence to perform confidently in front of thousands of music fans.

Sydnee has music in her blood and she has been performing since the age of 6. She started with guitar as a 6 year old and has added many other instruments to her repertoire over the years. She also writes her own music.

She left the Sacred Heart College in Sorrento to pursue her dream of being part of the Channel 7 show. This Perth resident surely knows how to get the fans grooving as she is being called to events all across the country to perform in her beautiful voice.

She counts Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Beyonce, Michael Jackson and Ed Sheeran among her musical influences.

This Perth resident cleared the auditions with an absolutely amazing rendition of the Youth (Daughter). She received a standing ovation at the auditions from the all the judges. One of the judges said that she should be on radio and one other judge said that she is unbelievable. She received yeses from all the four judges to move to the super bootcamp round.

She cleared the first bootcamp challenge with flying colors. In the second round, she mesmerized the live audience and the judges alike with her performance of Tennis Court (Lorde). Judges were so impressed with her talent that she was selected for live shows later by one of the judges. Ronan Keating.

As part of the home visits round, she toured New York City and was thrilled to perform the song, We Found Love (Rihanna). Her performance in front of Keating, who was also her mentor on the show, and John Legend, was universally acclaimed.

She became part of the bottom two in the show for the first time week three. Public votes kept her challenge alive after judges reached a split verdict. She had to finally leave the show in week 5 but not before making a mark for her as a star in the making.

This Perth schoolgirl has been performing in events across the country now. She was recently asked to be a part of the performance at The Melbourne Cup Luncheon. She has also performed at the Telethon and she was also invited to the opening night of the Perth Fashion Festival Opening night.
